I have background in molecular biology, cell biology and physiology with specific expertise in microalgae including diatoms and coccolithophores. My research focuses on the functional characterization of genes and pathways involved in (a) the adaptation and acclimatory responses of microalgae to their environments and (b) the biosynthesis of microalgae bioactive compounds of industrial interest.
