Holds a B.Sc. in “Medical Laboratory Science” from the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki and a B.Sc. in “Molecular Biology and Genetics” from Democritus University of Thrace. Also, holds an MSc in “Molecular Biology and Biomedicine” from the University of Crete, which focused on developing methods to quantify algal environmental-RNA as a means of measuring water-body toxins. Currently, working on developing an assay for the detection of sxtA4 environmental-RNA.
